AlpArray research community is organized is variuos research groups focusing on specific research topics.

The main activity of an AlpArray Research Group (AARG) is to coordinate the activities in a specfic research topic among the members, either in collaborative or competitive way and to protect PhD students.

There are five research group already formed:

• Surface Waves, Ambient Noise, Full Waveform Inversion
• Gravity
• Receiver Functions
• Seismicity, seismotectonics and Local Earthquake Tomography
• Seismic Anisotropy
